MB1 | Wall-mounted magnetic marker board with marker tray
Strong preference for markerboards that require traditional magnets over those that require rare earth magnets.
Wall-mounted magnetic marker boards should be the default choice of product for all writable surfaces. Marker boards should not be located opposite a camera to reduce glare.
Details specific to the number and type of outlets needed can be found in each space type's information. It is the responsibility of our partners to validate that the product meets the power and data requirements outlined in each space type.

The Red Hat Safety Warden Program has been established to provide and maintain a safe and secure work environment, identify and mitigate risk, and provide management of situations that have a negative impact on associates, customers, business and market perceptions of the organization.
Each location that meets the physical requirement for a Safety Warden program should have Safety Spot location(s) on site.
The appropriate Red Hat Regional Safety + Security Manager will ensure all local requirements are adhered to as local requirements may supersede the guidance documented here.
Refer to the latest version of the Red Hat Safety Warden Program documentation for additional details.
A Safety Spot should have the following items included:
1 wall-mounted workplace First Aid Kit applicable to the size of the office and meet local regulatory requirements as they apply.
1 Heart Start defibrillator (Automated External Defibrillator - AED)
1 AED cabinet or case, preferably wall mounted and connected to the Enterprise Security System for monitoring of deployment.
1 5lb. ABC fire extinguisher
Maintenance, finance, upkeep of equipment is the responsibility of Facility Operations in compliance with Red Hat's Safety Warden Program documentation.
Refer to Red Hat's Global Signage Guidelines for additional details.
The location of the Safety Spot should be located in a Mail or Copy room environment with adequate space for accessibility. If regulatory requirements call for a Medical room, this will suffice.
Locations with more than 3 consistent floors should have a Safety Spot on every fourth floor. Example: Red Hat occupies floors 8-19 of a building. Safety Spots should be on floors 9,12,15, 18. A responder should not travel more than two floors to reach a Safety Spot.
The following list is intended for a typical CapEx project delivery scope. Confirm all items with the Workplace Delivery Program Manager at project kick-off.
This list is NOT intended for Red Hat accounting categorization or OpEx projects. To request a CapEx purchase outside of a project, please use the Ops Improvement Request sheet. Items that are categorized by Red Hat Accounting as a CapEx expense, but are not part of a CapEx project, will not be the responsibility of the Workplace Delivery Project Team to manage.
